Wedding in Nairobi or Karen
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum.
I just moved to Nairobi a couple of months ago. My fiancé is Kenyan and I am French. We are planning to get married in Kenya at the end of 2011 and would like your help/advice. Does anyone know a great place (simple but elegant) in or arround Nairobi or Karen. I would like a luxurious but simple wedding. Can you help me?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Mademoiselle Jo

Nairobi Wedding
How exciting to be organising a wedding!
A popular venue in Karen is the Karen Blixen Museum (garden). They seem to have weddings there every weekend! Other venues in Karen to consider might be The Rusty Nail restaurant, The Karen Blixen Coffee Garden, Mamba Village have an area that is often booked for weddings? There are also some gardens just on Langata South Road, down from Langata link on the left hand side, before Mat Bronze- that also is often busy with weddings, though I can't remember what it's called.
Not sure how viable it is, but the Nairobi National Museum would make a dramatic backdrop for a wedding - and I know they allow functions etc there.
Good luck with planning!

Great!
That information is great! My boyfriend and I are going to get married most likely this year, in Kenya as he is Kenyan.
Just knowing a few places to look at is a great help for me too, thanks!
