Anyone in Mombasa? Empty Anyone in Mombasa?

Is anyone here living in Mombasa? We recently relocated from Nairobi to Mombasa and I'm trying to adjust. Also, I'm looking for places that allow use of their swimming pools since our current apartment complex doesn't have one. A couple of the hotels I've gotten in touch with have said no to having non-hotel guests use the pool. Is this the norm throughout or are there places that allow pool usage for a fee-per-use basis? Joining a country club or similar is not currently an option.
