New to Nairobi, would love to make friends!

Hi everyone,

My name is Traci, just moved to Nairobi about a month ago. I was here in Kenya in 2010 for 6 months, had a wonderful time, but find my current stay a bit more challenging. I'm having such a hard time settling in and making real connections with people. My situation is a little different than everyone's on this forum, for I am married, but my husband is at home in Hawaii finishing up his PhD. I miss him terribly and would love to find a nice group of people to hang out with. I live in Kileleshwa, so I am close to Junction and YaYa.

I am 27 years old from Hawaii, interning with a microfinance organization for a year. Although I have been meeting people, it is hard to find those that just want to relax, chat, have coffee or the occassional wine. Many have a night life I am not interested in. I'd maybe want to start or join a book club, running club, or something as well.

If anyone is interested in meeting for a chat and coffee, I'd love to meet up.
